The world’s first homoerotic stamps were produced in Finland in 2014 to celebrate one of the country’s most famous artists – Tom of Finland. Art critic Estelle Lovatt stated: “The stamps are a ‘great statement’ given that the country bans gay marriage.” Tom of Finland stamps now trade for a lot of money on the antique stamp sites.
